What we do

Family owned and operated for over 50 years, Langille Sharpening provides sharpening services for businesses and individuals throughout the Maritimes.

We provide precision sharpening for saw blades using CNC Akemat machines, restoring your blades to brand new, or better performance. All straight knives and router bits are also done on precision machinery, keeping your surfaces true while saving you money on new cutting tool purchases.

What do we sharpen?:
We sharpen everything from kitchen knives to industrial saw blades, and everything in between. Certain brands and item designs aren’t made with sharpening in mind, and we will always tell you what we can’t do. We don’t service anything that won’t provide the best value for your money.

Some of the items we sharpen (non exhaustive):
Saw blades (all types, some exceptions with 7 ¼ blades), kitchen knives, scissors, garden tools, planer knives, router bits, paper knives, hair clippers.

What we don’t sharpen:
Hand saws, skates, bandsaw blades (We sell new bandsaw blades), drill bits.

What we sell:
Saw blades, bandsaw blades, and router bits, subject to availability. Custom tooling can be ordered upon request.

We regularly ship across the Island and to other maritime provinces.

Stop by the shop for drop-off, or ship it. Average turnaround time for saw blades, planer knives, and router bits ~2 to 3 days depending on current volume.
For kitchen knives, garden equipment, and chainsaw chains, we usually have them ready for pickup the next day in the afternoon.
